beef stew

|
This is my fren's version of beef stew. Very nice and healthy as no oil and salt are used. Then I revise a little according to my tastebud.
Ingredients
Beef (cut into cubes)
Carrot
Potato
Tomato
Mushroom shitake
Cili Merah
Cili Padi
Garlic
Oyster sauce
Black pepper
Method:
1. marinade beef with oyster sauce
2. cut carrots, potato into big cubes
3. smash garlic & cili padi to get the taste
4. in a pot, put in garlic for a while before putting marinated beef
5. put in boiling water
6. after the beef is tender, put in potato, carrot, cili padi, cili merah.
7. then put in mushroom shitake. let it simmer.
8. turn off the light, put in tomato.
9. pour in extra oyster sauce according to your taste.
Serve hot with rice or garlic bread.

carbonara fetucinni

 This is considered my specialty recipe. Sebab dh selalu sangat buat. Hehehe...Very simple. Very easy. And of cos, the very yummylicious!! 
Ingredients
Fetucinni (or any other kind)
Campbells Mushroom Soup (any flovor prefered or available)
Fresh Milk
Seafood (shrimp, squid, mussels etc)
Vegetables (carrot, brocolli etc)
Mushroom shitake
Cili padi
Black pepper sprinkles
Garlic
Water
1. Boil fetucinni till soft.
2. In a bowl, mix Campbell soup with fresh milk.
3. Sauted garlic, cili padi and black peper.
4. Then put seafood and vegetables
5. Pour in the mixture of soup and milk.
6. Last, put in fetucinni.
Serve hot with Orange juice.

A visit from FIL
|

Sunday. Noon.
Early morning, Jo received a phone call from MIL saying that they are in KL. To cut it short, we invited them for lunch before they headed back to Muar. I was a bit menggelabah because usually I helped mama but yesterday I need to cook single handedly bacause she was also busy with work and going outstation.
Luckily laa udang, ikan & ayam ada banyak coz baru je pegi carrefour. Jo and papa were busy tidying up the house. Haa..yang magic nya, in just like 30mins our house look really kemas and bersih. Kalau tidak, ada je benda or anything on the tables, shelves. 
So, with Jo and ma helping out bits and pieces, we managed to prepare sambal udang, my oh-so-signature dish ikan cili padi (any ikan will do..plg sodap siakap), sayur lemak which go excellently with sambal udang and ayam goreng.
Dessert?  Opps..due to short time notice, desserts were only mangoes, grapes and some dodol brought back from Kelantan.
All in all, we were so glad to see FIL. Sekali sekala diorg pulak dtg KL seronok jugak. Should come more often and longer time.

jalan-jalan

Saturday.
It is like a routine for us. Saturday kena jalan-jalan. Usually we just go to nearby mall i.e: Alpha Angle, KLCC or Carrefour (Jo's fav). But today we went to a lil bit far. Mid Valley!
Hmm..I used to hang out in Mid Valley every friday during lunch time. And it always melerettttt ke after lunch time. My partners in crime? Mdm Fazi. And Mdm Dahlia. Haaa...those old timess...
Fazi moved further to another place. Me...followed her footsteps. Venturing into Dad's biz. So now nak pegi Mid Valley kena tunggu weekends laa with darls hubby & Dania.
Nway...back to jalan2...Did a little shopping. Jo did actually. We were just finishing our Metrojaya's vouchers.
Then, I cooked and tested my new recipe. Since Dania was born, I hardly have time to cook dinners. Its always my mum while I attend to Dania's need. If she sleeps early, I do some ironing. But Saturdays is always my turn. And I always prepare pasta or western dishes as they are easier. But last nite I (with the help from Jo dearest) tried some malay or not so malay dishes. Hmm..they were yummylicious as Jo and my parents put it. Very happy indeed. For recipes please call paidline of 012XXXXXXX...
p/s: ibu harris..aku cari kuda carousel midvalley tu..tak jumpa. kempunan dania nk naik kuda.

Then we headed to KB town. Me & Jo went to Pasar Khadijah and bought some keropoks and sweet desserts to bring home. Dania was not allowed to follow me by Nenda bcoz of the condition of the pasar, so she followed Nenda & Papatuk to nearby mall (can't remember the name la). It was so hot we lepak kejap at KFC then headed back to Cik Long's.
Then at the wedding kenduri. Not much to tell coz we just attend the wedding, eat, mingle with other relatives.
 It was a fun but tiring trip. Hmm...been considering to fly for raya. Will see...

Kelantan trip, part 1
|

This was the first time Dania went back to my hometown (mine ke? hehe) Kelantan. All of us; Papa, Mama, Jo, Dania and yours truly took off around 630pm in Jo's car. It was raining and massive jam. Supposedly we convoyed with Cik Mah and familia but they left quite late so we just decided to meet somewhere on the way.
Slept over at Gua Musang. Reached there midnite. Luckily Dania's behaved extremely well throughout the longgggg journey.
Had breakfast very early and took off again to Papa's kampung. Then to Cik Long's house and spent a nite there.
