A Treat

A girlfriend of mine, she-who-shall-not-be-named (u know who you are...hahahahah) treated me to lunch buffet here for my birthday. How sweet. Thank you girl. The deco is nice, minimalist and very business like. Dh nama pun trader's kan? Food, it was ok. Love the desserts.
Sorry folks, takde gambar sbb I left my camera. Lgpun segan siut nk amek pictures, all guests are working ppl..mcm kelakar la klau amek pictures kan?  So I just snap the entrance je..tu pun ada mat salleh tgk semacam.

I've been tagged with a topic of why you name your child such a name or something to that effect la. Got tagged before but I forgot to answer it. So here goes of why I name my daughter Amirah Nur Dania.
Ahhh...my apple pie. Alhamdulillah, I was told I was pregnant just after 4 months of marriage  . Didn't really expect it to be too soon as I was planning to enjoy my marriage life first. Hahaha! But, I thanked God who gave us such a wonderful wedding gift. So, during my pregnancy, just like any other moms to be, I've listed some good names but none in the list and from books interest me. Its either too common or too weird  . And since we cannot detect the gender of the baby even till my last trimester, we just relaxed and wait for the baby to show his/her gender at that time. And, around my 8months, alas, she showed herself. So we immediately think of girls name. A lot came up, Mardhiyah, Safiyyah, Amirah. Then Jo suggested we have a sibling name (shess, he's already planning for siblings!!  ) and another individual name. He came up with Nur Amirah which to me is common. I don't like to have Nur in front (nanti nama dia kt dalam list sekolah sumer nur..nur..nur..too common I think). I changed it to Amirah Nur which means puteri or ketua cahaya. Dania came out of the blues. And when put together, Amirah Nur Dania it sounded perfect for us. Dania just means close or dekat which xde la makna sgt but we put it this way. puteri cahaya yg dekat kepada abah and mummy. Its accepted! When our baby turns 5days old, we announce her name as Amirah Nur Dania binti Mohd Joned.

I'm 27!

Today I am 27. How time flies so fast in this dunia akhir zaman. Used to be gila2 in my school and especially in my Uni years. Going out almost every nite with my gals for movies, dinners or just for the sake of a ride.
And now I am happily married to my dearest Jo. We are entering our 2 yrs of lovely marriage. I am blessed with a charming adorable daughter, Dania. And surrounded with beautiful people to live and spend for the rest of life.
Alhamdullilah..shukran to Allah swt.

I cooked Macaroni Au Gratin. I got the recipe from Kak Rinn @ http://rinnchan.fotopages. Thanks kak rinn. Here goes the recipe but I did some additional to the original recipe.
Ingredients :
200gm macaroni..boiled till softened.
70gm Parmesan Cheese.....I used sliced cheese
Filling
200gm chicken, prawn, squid, fish filamen.....cubed
50gm minced meet
1 potatoe....sliced thinly
1 onion..preferably the white onion..chopped
2 teaspn black pepper
White Sauce
4 tblespn butter
5 tblespn wheat flour
2 1/2 cups fresh milk
1/2 cube chicken stock (melt with 1/2 cup of warm water)
2/3 teaspn salt
Instruction:
1. Fry the mixture for the filling. Pour in some water to soften the potatoe faster. Keep aside.
2. For the white sauce, melt the butter over a medium flame. Put in flour and continue whisking not to let the batter crumbled. Pour in milk, chicken stock mixture and salt.
3. Pour in the filling mixture, stir well for a while and off the fire.
4. Mix together white sauce with the macaroni. Pour into desired casserole and sprinkle adequate cheese on top. Then bake at 220 deg C for 15~20 mins.
5. May be eaten as it is or with chillie sauce.
I added shitake mushroom & diced carrots to the filling to have some vegetables in it.

Our Way

This is our way of celebrating the 50th Merdeka. 
Date: 31 August 2007
Time: Noon
Venue: Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
That day was a hectic day for us. Early morning Jo dah serbu Giant to get some things that were on sale only for that particular Merdeka day. The things were Drypers & Baskin Robbin's ice cream. Hahahahaha...mcm penting sgt jek..huhuhu..While Jo at Giant, I did some tidying up our messy room and packing stuff to balik Muar.
Then, around noon rushed to Istana Hotel and mind you, Merdeka was on Friday so the men had to go for Friday prayers before makan-makan. My aunty CikMah & uncle AyahSoh were so generous to belanja all of us for high-tea at Istana. And they were also celebrating their anniversary and offered 50% off from nornal buffet.
Then, after makan-makan-makan-makan...byk sgt makan okeh! Around 330pm we rushed out leaving all of them continue makan-makan. Pastu, Jo dh kenyang sgt, so sleepy to drive, yours truly ni la yg drive from Seremban to Air Keroh while he slept. What confiouses me most is, time Jo tido Dania blh duduk atas riba so quiet okeh. Klau duk dgn i..kemain hyper anak dara tu. Geram!! 
Reached Muar around 630pm. Fuhh...what a day tp happy sbb dpt mkn sodap & byk!

One morning when I woke up, I looked to both my loved ones, Jo & Dania still sleeping soundly. Bukan takat soundly la, siap depa kaki tangan anak dara sorg ni . So I immediately snapped with my camera phone which is why it is not bright & clear. Lampu pun belum bukak okeh. Ish..Camne nak sopankan anak dara tu tido. Hehehe..
Any ideas kawan2?

Him: Yang, lawa tak? Mana lawa, plain ke ada buckle ke?
Me: Lawa, definitely ada buckle. Abg, syg pun jumpa satu. Lawa.
Him: Ada je yg jumpa 
Me: Hehe
After a while...
Him: Yang, klau beli kasut ni ok tak? Kasut lain byk dh overused.
Me: Ok je. Klau abg amek, syg amek jgk la ek?
Him: Ewah2..selalu syg amek abg tak amek apa pun?
